Cadentia built Saxdor AI to manage the full boat lifecycle, from first enquiry to the helm

Cadentia’s AION now supports buyers, dealers, production and owners on one platform, and, for the first time in history, puts AI on a boat’s own multifunction display.

Cadentia builds AI engagement agents for industries where complex products and services are sold, and boating is where they are especially proving their value. Together with Saxdor Yachts, the Finnish technology company has built Saxdor AI, that supports the stakeholder’s journey from first customer enquiry through production and delivery to ownership on the water.

Built on Cadentia’s AION platform, Saxdor AI connects customer, dealer and the brand around one digital record for each boat. It is in daily use across Saxdor’s sales, production, delivery and dealer network, and has handled more than 10,000 customer enquiries, supported hundreds of owners and been adopted by over 40 dealers in +30 countries.

In addition each boat being built is supported by and monitored by Saxdor AI ensuring the best possible quality and clear workflow guidance in the workers native language.

Buying: single pipeline from first click to closed deal

Enquiries used to arrive from the website, campaigns, boat shows and dealers with no single pipeline behind them. Now every enquiry is directed in one place. AI qualifies and scores each lead, buyers get a personalized, monitored digital quote where Saxdor’s AI answers their questions, and dealers see who is serious.

Saxdor’s online prospects with a configuration have risen six-fold to more than 25,000 a year, with over 2,000 active leads in the pipeline. Saxdor now sees dealer activity and demand by region and model, and dealers have tools to respond faster and close more deals.

Delivering: three checks, recorded for every boat

Each boat’s quality is verified at the factory, on arrival at the dealer and at customer handover, with photo evidence and a defect log tied to that individual hull. The digital record starts at production, giving Saxdor and its dealers consistent digital history of what was checked, by whom and when.

Early results of the product lifecycle record point to faster issue resolution and less effort per case. Saxdor experiences higher customer satisfaction and lower warranty costs, as defects are caught before handover.

Owning: the first AI co-skipper at the helm

Saxdor Boat IQ is the first AI built into a boat’s multifunction display, a milestone for the marine industry. Owners ask questions in plain language and get answers for their own boat as built, while live telemetry surfaces alerts and recommended actions, with no separate app to open.

Where owners once had a manual, they now have an interactive co-skipper at the helm. Every owner question also shows Saxdor how its boats are really used. Next the Boat IQ will also be able to handle warranty and service requests making the whole boating experience better and more efficient for all stakeholders.

“Boating should feel easier, not harder, after you buy the boat. When the answer to any question is on the display in front of you, owners gain confidence and the whole industry grows” – Tatu Heikkilä, CEO of Cadentia

Meet the team at Metstrade

Cadentia will bring the full Saxdor AI story to Metstrade in Amsterdam, 17-19 November, with Boat IQ running on a real multifunction display in the Startup Area (Hall 5) and the possibility to see how Saxdor AI supports the whole dealmaking and building journey.

Boat brands are invited to try it for themselves and explore how AION could connect their own buyers, dealers and owners, from first enquiry to life on the water.
