OTTER, the Swiss company developing electric watercrafts today announced that Tjaš Cvek will join the company as Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer (CTO), effective 1 February 2026.

Cvek joins OTTER as a late co-founder and will lead the company’s product organization. His appointment marks an important milestone as OTTER accelerates development across multiple models and further evolves its underlying product platform, laying the groundwork for new products planned for release in 2026.

Cvek brings extensive experience in marine technology, electric propulsion and battery systems. He is a co-founder of Remigo, the electric outboard motor company, where he played a key role in developing and scaling one of the first modern, portable electric outboards.

His work as Co-Founder and Lead Development Engineer spanned the full product stack, from battery systems and electronics to system integration, contributing to the successful market launch of a complex marine technology product.

At OTTER, Cvek will focus on scaling product development, strengthening the platform architecture, and supporting the expansion of the company’s product portfolio.

As OTTER moves into its next growth phase, the company is investing in technical depth to ensure that future products maintain high standards of reliability and user experience, and while allowing faster iteration and diversification.

Cvek has already been involved in OTTER’s technical development prior to joining full-time and is familiar with the company’s products and engineering philosophy. His appointment formalizes a collaboration that has been developing over the past three years.
