Belgian boatbuilder B-Craft is expanding beyond its flagship Akoya with two new models that will broaden the brands capabilities.
The company is developing a cabin-equipped version designed for overnight cruising (the Akoya Cabin), alongside a larger 12-metre concept aimed at the superyacht and watersports markets (the Tahiti)
Founded by father-and-son duo Roeland and Joris Van Aelst, B-Craft emerged from a simple frustration shared by many boating enthusiasts: traditional boats tended to specialise in either watersports performance or luxury comfort, but rarely both. After several years of development, the founders set out to create a boat that could bridge that gap.
The result was the B-Craft Akoya, a design-led dayboat that combines the agility and power of a ski and wake boat with the comfort, craftsmanship and finishing typically associated with luxury yachts.
At 8.6 metres in length and powered by a 430hp Volvo Penta engine, the Akoya was conceived as a versatile platform featuring innovative elements such as a retractable watersports rig and automated onboard systems.
With its blend of sportiness and refined design, the Akoya has helped position B-Craft as an emerging player in the luxury tender and premium dayboat market, where demand is growing for vessels capable of combining watersports performance with superyacht-level comfort and craftsmanship.
The company’s latest developments build on that foundation.

The Akoya Cabin Introduces Overnight Capability
The first new design introduces a cabin, expanding the B-Craft platform into overnight cruising with the Akoya Cabin.
Developed in response to customer feedback, the cabin version adds sleeping accommodation for two alongside a toilet, wardrobe and sink, creating the flexibility for weekend trips and longer coastal adventures.
While introducing greater functionality, the model retains the defining characteristics of the Akoya platform: clean design lines, a watersports-focused layout and high-quality materials finished to superyacht standards.
The addition of a cabin is expected to appeal particularly to lake and coastal boat owners, offering additional privacy, safety and weather protection while extending the amount of time owners can comfortably spend on the water.

New 12m Tahiti Targets Superyachts and Watersports
Alongside the cabin model, B-Craft is also developing the Tahiti – a significantly larger 12-metre concept, designed as a multi-purpose vessel for superyacht support operations, watersports enthusiasts and premium day boating.
As superyacht owners increasingly prioritise watersports and onboard experiences, demand has grown for support vessels capable of transporting guests, crew and equipment while acting as dedicated watersports platforms.
In the superyacht context, the Tahiti is positioned as a chase boat – a support vessel that can accompany or be towed behind a larger yacht while carrying watersports equipment, guests and crew.
The larger model will allow for the creation of a fully equipped foiling and watersports station, with expanded storage for equipment such as foils, wakeboards and waterskis. For private owners, the model will also function as a larger family dayboat, offering additional space and comfort while maintaining the sports focused DNA of the brand.

Expanding the B-Craft Concept
According to the founders, both new models are a natural evolution of the original B-Craft concept.
“From the beginning, B-Craft was about building the boat we couldn’t find ourselves – something that combines the excitement of watersports with the comfort and craftsmanship of a yacht,” said Joris Van Aelst, co-founder of B-Craft.
“As more people discovered the Akoya, we consistently heard two requests from owners: the ability to stay overnight and the need for a larger platform for watersports and superyacht use. The cabin model and the Tahiti are both natural evolutions of that feedback.”
Over the coming months, B-Craft plans to host a series of sea trials and demonstration events across Europe, offering prospective owners the opportunity to experience the boats first-hand as development progresses.
Further details on the new models are expected to be released later this year.
