Updates tailored to you.
Floatist, the fleet and charter operations management software founded by Cindy Allis, has launched a new done-for-you onboarding process designed to remove the biggest barrier to software adoption in the charter industry: getting teams to actually use it.
Unlike traditional software that requires operators to set up systems themselves, Floatist’s onboarding team, led by Antonieta Covo, handles everything. From account setup and booking system integration to yacht manual creation and staff training.
Charter companies adopt the platform without learning how to integrate their content onto a new tool. They simply start using one already built around their existing workflows.
Busy base managers and seasonal staff rarely have time to learn new tools or spend time implementing during peak season. Systems go unused, and operators fall back on spreadsheets, WhatsApp, and paper checklists.
Floatist’s onboarding process addresses this directly. Their team gathers fleet details, connects booking systems via API, and digitizes the fleet using their in-house made library covering major manufacturers and common boat models.
In addition, the team visits new bases to take the necessary technical photos and observe daily operations. This helps to have every checklist and digital manual reflect how each individual boat and base actually runs.
The onboarding of the crew itself is also tailored by department and designed around a specific role. Base managers then instantly see how real-time boat status updates reduce chaos on busy Saturdays, and guests leave better reviews. By the time charter season begins, every team member is confident using the platform from day one.

“We built this new onboarding process because we saw too many charter bases invest in software that collected dust,” said Floatist co-founder Cindy Allis.
“Our approach is different. We do the setup work so operators can focus on running boats and taking care of guests. We don’t interrupt any current procedures. The result is a system that actually gets used and adopted in a short time.”
In addition, the team is always available for questions from the crew after the onboarding period. Floatist assigns each company a dedicated onboarding specialist and internal “Floatist Champion” to ensure smooth adoption across teams.
The platform itself covers real-time communication between office, dock, and cleaning crews during turnaround days. Furthermore, it offers guest-facing apps for pre-arrival paperwork and self-guided check-ins, maintenance tracking with routine task reminders and interval-based automations, as well as digital yacht manuals available in multiple languages. Recently, Brazilian Portuguese was added. But none of that matters if the software never leaves the
Desktop.
That’s why Floatist built a new onboarding process that works for charter fleet operators and not IT departments. “We are a software for yachting professionals who care about a well-maintained fleet, returning guests, and more efficient staff that can handle more boats in less time. All this results in higher margins for fleet operators.” – Ante Kljenak said.
Charter fleet operators, base managers, and yacht management companies can learn more through the Floatist website and are invited to sit down together with the Floatist team to see how it can be implemented at your base.
