ENVGO, a pioneering startup in electric hydrofoil technology, is set to redefine the boating industry with its flagship product, the ENVGO NV1. Combining luxury, performance, and advanced technology, the NV1 offers a hydrofoiling experience that flies silently and efficiently above water, leaving no wake and producing zero emissions.
As the demand for sustainable boating solutions grows, ENVGO recognizes the need for innovation. Unlike traditional electric boats that rely on existing hull designs, ENVGO is committed to solving range challenges while delivering a new boating experience. NV1, ENVGO’s inaugural electric hydrofoiling boat, integrates advanced flight control technologies and autonomy, matched only by its aesthetic design, making it a game-changer in the market.
The team has already made significant progress, successfully fabricating two vessels for engineering evaluation in order to further validate their technology. Collaborating with renowned yacht designer J. David Weiss and America’s Cup naval architect Steve Killing, they are currently finalizing the ENVGO NV1 demonstration prototype, integrating the electric drivetrain and flight control systems.
An Innovative Team
The company’s core team, comprised of seasoned experts from diverse technological backgrounds with a history of collaboration, is dedicated to enhancing the boating experience through sustainable innovation.
At the helm of ENVGO is CEO Mike Peasgood. With a Ph.D. in Robotics and extensive experience as a co-founder of Aeryon Labs, Mike’s career spans various roles in engineering and leadership, and his extensive experience in unmanned aerial systems has positioned him as a problem solver and innovator in the tech industry.
Mike comments: “My motivation stems from a passion for sustainability and innovation. At ENVGO, we’re revolutionizing the boating industry with electric hydrofoiling boats that offer high-performance and eco-friendly alternatives for boaters seeking a new, exhilarating boating experience. Our company is leveraging electric power, aiming to enhance both environmental impact and user experience. Accomplishing these objectives will establish ENVGO's leadership position in the market.”
He continues: “We’re incredibly excited by a market ready to welcome innovation aside sustainability, and by the industry partnerships we’re already establishing as we elevate the future of boating.”
Supporting Mike is COO Paul Masojc, who brings over a decade of experience in engineering and supply chain management. A University of Waterloo graduate, Paul held key leadership roles at FLIR Systems and BlackBerry. Inspired by Northern Ontario’s inland lakes, Paul champions a culture of innovation, environmental responsibility, and teamwork.
Pete Keller, Vice President of Sales, Business Development, and Marketing, brings extensive experience in emerging technology and has a proven track record of building global teams and driving revenue. Previously Vice President of International Sales at FLIR, he led teams across Asia and Europe, achieving sales in over 20 countries.
Jerry Mailloux, Vice President of Engineering and Co-founder, oversees the design and engineering of ENVGO’s electric boats, prioritizing safety and quality. His background at FLIR and BlackBerry reflects a commitment to innovation and performance.
Principal Systems Architect Michael Tribou manages the technical aspects of ENVGO’s hydrofoiling technology, and with a background in autonomous vehicle control and robotics, he aligns the technical roadmap with strategic objectives. Mike’s vision is to revolutionize hydrofoiling technology and ensure that ENVGO's products are at the forefront of performance and reliability.
April Blaylock, Principal AI Systems Architect, enhances ENVGO’s autonomous marine systems with advanced AI algorithms. Her experience from TuSimple and FLIR in AI, computer vision, and autonomy drives her commitment to innovation and transformative AI applications in marine technology. April’s career began at Aeryon Labs, where she held various roles, including Vision Systems Architect and Senior Unmanned Aerial Systems Engineer.
