VisionAnchor among Top 10 at Web Summit, the world’s largest tech conference

VisionAnchor, with its smart VisionAnchor S buoy for safer anchoring, achieved outstanding success at the Web Summit, where it ranked among top ten out of 2,700 startups. This achievement brought the Slovenian company a new recognition for innovation and the high quality of its technology.

Slovenian startup VisionAnchor, which develops solutions for safer anchoring, reached a new milestone at the world’s largest tech conference, Web Summit, which attracts over 70,000 visitors from around the globe every year. At this

conference, which brings together founders, entrepreneurs, business leaders, and investors, VisionAnchor ranked among the top 10 startups in the PITCH competition.


During the three-day event dedicated to technology and trends, 2,700 companies presented their ideas, with only 105 reaching the PITCH competition for the prestigious title of Web Summit Winner of the Year. VisionAnchor, represented by co-founder Matija Jašarov, placed among the 10 best startups of 2024 in this highly competitive environment.


This achievement is a great recognition of the innovation and dedication of the Slovenian team. The Web Summit Winner of the Year title went to Intuitivo from Portugal, which developed a digital platform to improve the education system.


VisionAnchor with Innovative Anchoring Solutions

On its entrepreneurial journey, VisionAnchor is focused on developing innovative anchoring products. Their smart VisionAnchor S buoy allows vessel owners with boats ranging from 8 to 25 meters to anchor safely and smartly. Their main customers come from Germany, Italy, and the UK, and smart buoys are also shipped to Australia, the Philippines, and the USA. Currently, VisionAnchor S is available for purchase on their website visionanchor.net, with plans to offer

rental services in Slovenia and Croatia next year.

VisionAnchor has been operating for four years and has received awards and recognition from key entities such as the European initiative EIT Digital, and the European Space Agency (ESA). This year, they were also accepted into the Techstars Transformative World Torino program, where they enhanced their knowledge and established connections to support further growth in European and American markets.


The company is currently seeking additional investment of €800,000 to further develop its smart solutions, with €140,000 in funds already secured.
