Sailing Startup Easysea Nears €1 Million as Crowdfunding Round Enters Final Week

Italian sailing startup Easysea has entered the final days of its crowdfunding campaign, having already raised more than €770,000 from investors and its global sailing community.

 

Hosted on MamaCrowd, the round targets up to €1.15 million at a €5 million pre-money valuation and is approaching the €1 million milestone as the campaign enters its final week.

 

The raise marks a key step in Easysea’s growth strategy as the company expands its product catalogue, strengthens international distribution, and begins developing connected onboard technologies for recreational sailing.

 

Founded by Giuseppe Scotto D’Antuono and Francesco Fascelli, Easysea develops equipment designed to simplify everyday operations on board sailing yachts. Since launching its first product, the company has generated more than €2.1 million in cumulative sales, serving 3,600+ direct customers and more than 70 B2B clients across 96 countries. 

 

 

Funding the Next Phase of Growth

 

The crowdfunding campaign has attracted strong interest from both private investors and Easysea’s sailing community, which has played a central role in the company’s growth.

 

Among the investors supporting Easysea is Simone Mancini, co-founder of fintech unicorn Scalapay, who joined the company as both an investor and advisor. This latest campaign has also seen participation from 38 individual investors placing significant tickets, reflecting growing interest in marine technology startups as the sector becomes increasingly innovation-driven.

 

The capital raised through the campaign will be used to accelerate Easysea’s next phase of development, focusing on:

 

  • Expanding the company’s product catalogue
  • Strengthening supply chain and manufacturing capacity
  • Scaling international B2B distribution
  • Developing mechatronic and connected onboard systems

A key part of this strategy will be the development of Easysea’s first retrofit winch electrification kit, allowing sailors to convert manual winches into electric systems without the need for expensive replacements.

 

The technology will incorporate sensors and control electronics, forming the basis for future connected applications and digital services onboard.

 

 

Building a Global Sailing Hardware Brand

 

Easysea first gained traction with Flipper, a folding winch handle designed to remain attached to the winch, which quickly became an international success.

 

Since then, the company has expanded its catalogue through a community-driven product development model, using feedback from sailors to identify and solve everyday problems on board.

 

This approach has led to the development of several additional products and has enabled Easysea to validate new concepts quickly while building a loyal community of users.

 

In late 2025 the company launched several new products, including a multifunction hook and an inflatable gangway, further expanding its portfolio and opening new opportunities with marine retailers and distributors.

With the campaign approaching the €1 million mark and entering its final days, Easysea is inviting the public to participate before the campaign closes on 17th March 2026.
