Yachting Ventures and Ben Taylor to launch Founder Podcast Series in Palma and Dubai

Yachting Ventures has launched a new podcast collaboration with Ben Taylor: the Founder Podcast Series, dedicated to telling the stories behind the most exciting startups in leisure marine.

The series will be recorded across the Dubai International Boat Show (8-12 April) and the Palma International Boat Show (29th April – 2nd May).

It will give founders a platform to articulate not just what they’re building, but why it matters, at a time when the marine industry is navigating rapid technological change, sustainability pressures and evolving global markets.

Each episode features a 20 – 30 minute conversation, combining personal narrative with practical business insight.

Yachting Ventures founder Gabriella Richardson explores founder motivation, mission and long-term vision, while Ben Taylor brings a strategic B2B perspective on market positioning, product development and building scalable solutions.

By anchoring the series in Palma and Dubai, the collaboration reflects the growing importance of both regions within the global marine ecosystem.

Palma has positioned itself as a Mediterranean centre for marine services, refit and innovation.

Dubai continues to strengthen its role as a gateway to the Middle East, Asia and international investment networks for companies scaling beyond Europe and North America.

Recording at both these events will help capture a cross-section of founders at different growth stages, operating across diverse markets, but facing similar challenges around scale, capital and adoption.

Episodes will be released as a curated series following each show, extending the lifespan of the events and giving founders continued visibility well beyond the show floor.

The collaboration reflects a broader shift in how audiences consume content, with growing demand for authenticity, depth and practical insight over traditional marketing messaging.

The series reflects the people-led nature of the leisure marine industry, where founder experience and perspective often play a defining role in how companies take shape.

“There’s no shortage of startups in leisure marine, but founders rarely get the space to properly explain the thinking behind what they’re building, and why,” said Gabriella Richardson, Founder of Yachting Ventures

“This series is about giving them that space. By recording around Palma and Dubai, we’re capturing founders at two key moments in the industry calendar, and Ben’s B2B audience is exactly the right one for startups looking to raise their profile with partners, customers and investors.”

Ben Taylor added: “The current marine business landscape is changing and so presents a clear strategic opportunity for startups and scale-ups.

Through this series, I’m particularly interested in exploring the strategies founders are using to secure market share, from displacing incumbent suppliers to validating new models with pilot programs but most of all hearing what problems can now be solved with innovative solutions.”

Participation in the series is intentionally limited, with a capped number of interviews recorded at each show. Startups will be selected based on the strength of their story, early traction and relevance within the marine innovation landscape.

Aside from being distributed across the Yachting Ventures and Ben Taylor channels, the interviews will also be shared on Marine Industry News – reaching +50,000 followers collectively.
