E-Force Marine expands from electric propulsion to fully electric boats with Aurora E30 launch

E-Force Marine is expanding its focus from electric propulsion systems to fully electric boats with the launch of the Aurora E30, a 30 foot electric catamaran designed for environmentally conscious boaters. The company, known for its innovative e-drive propulsion systems, is now applying its expertise to an entire vessel which unlike other models on the market prioritises comfort, as well as sustainability.

E-Force Marine’s move from electric propulsion to fully electric boats represents a natural evolution for a company that has already established itself as an innovator in electric propulsion. By integrating its proven e-drive technology with a purpose-built vessel, the company is setting new standards in efficiency, sustainability, and usability.

The Aurora E30

With a 10 foot beam, and a spacious layout compared to many boats in its class, the Aurora E30 caters to boaters who value sustainability as well as advanced technology. The focus is on creating a comfortable and practical cruising experience rather than high speeds, making it ideal for weekend trips, bay cruising, and island hopping.

Its fully electric model boasts an 80 mile range, while an optional hybrid version extends the range to 190 miles with the addition of an onboard generator. A solar canopy helps achieve net-zero operation, further enhancing its appeal to eco conscious consumers.

Charging the Aurora E30 is designed to be convenient. With fast-charging capabilities, the battery can be fully replenished in just two hours, while a standard marina power connection takes approximately twelve hours.

The boat offers a cruising speed of 20 knots and a top speed of 30 knots, making it well-suited for leisure boating in various conditions. One of the key advantages of the Aurora E30 is its cost efficiency, reducing ownership expenses by approximately 80% compared to traditional gasoline powered boats.

E-force Marine CTO and CEO Al Haghayegh, stated: “Another key benefit of our zero-emission electric boat is its ability to reduce noise pollution on the water. This is especially valuable for homeowners with waterfront properties. Even at our top speed of 35 mph, the only sound outside the boat is the splash of water, no engine noise.”

A shift towards sustainable marine travel

The Aurora E30 is particularly well-suited for locations with limited access to traditional fuel sources, such as the Bahamas and other remote destinations. The company sees significant potential in this market, where boaters often seek alternative energy solutions to address logistical challenges.

With the increasing interest in electric transportation solutions, the Aurora E30 aligns with the broader shift toward sustainable marine travel. “The time to transition to electric boats is now. Unlike cars, boats have a much longer lifespan, often 20 years or more. Currently, 94% of watercraft sold in the U.S. are gas-powered, meaning these vessels will continue polluting our waterways for decades”, said Al.

The prototype phase for the Aurora E30 will begin in September 2025, with testing running through November. The boat will be showcased to marine professionals later in the year, leading up to the start of production in January 2026. The company aims to establish a strong presence in the market by demonstrating the capabilities of the new model and its advantages over traditional fuel powered boats.

E-Force Marine will be attending the Miami International Boat Show this February, located at booth MB3202, attendees are invited to visit the booth to visit the team and gain more information about the Aurora E30.
