HapySity has completed the installation of Greece’s first solar-powered smart marina totem at Kos Marina, marking a significant step forward in the adoption of smart infrastructure within the country’s leisure marine sector.
The multi-functional digital totem combines visitor information services, digital advertising and renewable energy generation within a single platform, providing marina visitors, yacht owners and customers with real-time access to information while supporting Kos Marina’s sustainability objectives.
Located outside the marina’s headquarters, the installation serves as both an information hub and communication platform, providing updates on Kos Marina’s planned waterfront enhancement project and future hospitality developments.
Through interactive digital content, visitors can learn more about the marina’s long-term vision, upcoming facilities and ongoing investment initiatives.
A key feature of the system is its integration with renewable energy technology.
The solar-powered totem is expected to generate approximately 2,000 kWh of renewable electricity annually, helping to offset energy consumption within the marina’s administrative facilities while reducing its environmental footprint.
The project represents a practical example of how marinas can integrate digital services and sustainability initiatives into everyday operations.
Beyond providing visitor information, the platform also offers opportunities for targeted advertising and destination promotion, creating additional value for marina operators and local stakeholders.
The deployment forms part of a wider trend towards smarter marina infrastructure across the Mediterranean, as operators seek new ways to improve visitor engagement, enhance operational efficiency and support environmental goals.

“We are proud to see our first installation in Greece deployed at Kos Marina,” said Federico Brunelli, Founder of HapySity.
“This project demonstrates how marinas can combine digital services, sustainability and visitor engagement through a single piece of infrastructure. We believe solutions like this will play an increasingly important role in the future of marina development across the Mediterranean.”
Antonis Drosos, Managing Director of Kos Marina, added:
“We are continuously exploring innovative ways to improve the experience for our customers while supporting our long-term sustainability goals.
HapySity’s solution allows us to communicate more effectively with visitors, showcase future developments and demonstrate our commitment to embracing smart technologies within the marina environment.”
The installation is the first HapySity deployment in Greece and is intended to serve as a pilot project for wider adoption across marinas, hotels, resorts and tourism destinations seeking to combine digital engagement with renewable energy solutions.
Launched in 2025, HapySity develops smart infrastructure solutions for marinas, integrating solar-powered communication systems, digital information platforms and connected technologies designed to improve the visitor experience while supporting sustainability objectives.
